Terry Stroz was named as the head men's and women's cross country coach at his alma mater Western Connecticut State University in the spring of 2023 and held that post until Ryan Budd became the schools firs-ever head cross country and track and field coach in September of 2024.  Stroz continues as assistant cross country and track and field coach in 2024-25.

A 2010 graduate and WestConn Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach since 2021, Stroz was previously the head boys cross country coach at Masuk High School in Monroe, Connecticut.  He led the Wolves men to an individual title in the Medgar Evers College Legacy Invitational in New York City and a 25th-place finish in the NCAA Division III Regional Championships last fall.  The WestConn women had two top-ten finishers at Medgar Evers in 2023.

Stroz had coached the Masuk Panthers since 2016 and was also the head boys lacrosse coach at Masuk from 2013 to 2021.  In 2022, Masuk placed 21st in the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class MM Cross Country Championships.  Stroz earned his bachelor's degree in communication from WestConn then added a master's degree from the American College of Education in 2022.  He also owns a Special Education Certification from Southern Connecticut State University.
