Melissa Toscano, currently in her ninth season with WestConn, is a graduate of Goucher College in Maryland where she was a two-sport athlete as goalkeeper for four seasons and also member of the track and field program.

At Goucher, she was a First-Team All-Conference and All-Academic selection.  Toscano captained the Gophers for three seasons.

A native of southeastern Pennsylvania, she played scholastically for Pennsbury High School.

Currently, Toscano is an Elementary Math Specialist in the Danbury school system.

Melissa and her husband Mike reside in Brookfield and they have a daughter Carina and son Michael.
