Providence, R.I. - Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse senior Madison Ratchford ( Ridge, N.Y.) was named the 2026 Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player of the Year and joined senior defender Anneliese Reggio (White Plains, N.Y.)  and junior midfielder Isabella Pota (East Meadow, N.Y.) on the LEC All-Conference First Team.  WestConn graduate attacker Victoria Gracy (Bethel, Conn.) and sophomore midfielder Kyla Murnane (Bethpage, N.Y. ) were each selected for the All-LEC Second Team, while senior attacker Gina Giambald (East Meadow, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Madison Preston (Brookfield, Conn.) earned LEC All-Conference Honorable Mention.

WestConn, coached by Rachael Griffith (3rd Season), is 15-3 overall and finished a perfect 8-0 against conference teams to capture the league's regular-season title.  The Wolves downed Plymouth State, 18-3, and Southern Maine, 11-9, to win its second-straight and fourth overall LEC Championship crown and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the fourth time in six years. The Wolves will face St. John Fisher University in the NCAA opening round on Saturday at Middlebury College.

Ratchford, a three-time All-LEC Team selection, leads the Wolves with a conference-best 80 goals (4th in nation), five game-winners, a league-high 105 points (15th in nation), 138 shots (tied), 24 free-position goals (2nd in LEC, 13th in nation), 46 ground balls, and 87 draw controls (2nd in LEC).  She also dished 25 assists (7th in LEC) and caused 27 turnovers while starting all 18 games in the Wolves attack this season.  Her .652 percentage on free positions topped the LEC and ranks 18th nationally.  A graduate of Longwood High School, Ratchford has been a CSC Academic All-District, an LEC All-Academic and an LEC Academic Honor Roll member as a public health major at WestConn.

Reggio, a three-time All-LEC First Team honoree, played in all 18 games with 17 starts game on defense with the Wolves, totaling 31 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers while scoring twice with one game-winner and adding 11 draw controls this spring.  A graduate of White Plains High School, Reggio has been an LEC Academic Honor Roll as an elementary education major at WestConn.  Pota, an All-LEC Second Team honoree and the 2024 LEC Rookie of the Year, has started all 18 games in the midfield for the Wolves.  She scored 73 goals (2nd in LEC, 8th in nation) with 25 assists for 98 points (2nd in LEC, 24th in nation) on 138 shots with three game-winners, four free-position goals, 24 ground balls, and 73 draw controls (4th in LEC).  A graduate of East Meadow High School, Pota has been an LEC Academic Honor Roll as a health promotion studies major at WestConn.

Gracy, the LEC Midfielder of the Year and a five-time All-LEC selection, has started all 18 games in the midfield after coming back from an injury in the early part of 2025.  She has 47 goals and a team-high 26 assists (2nd in LEC) for 73 points (5th in LEC) on 104 shots with one game-winner, two free-position goals, 19 ground balls this spring.  A graduate of Bethel High School, Gracy has been a CSC Academic All-District, an LEC All-Academic and an LEC Academic Honor Roll member as a marketing major and while pursuing a master's in business administration at WestConn.  Murnane has played in and started 17 games in the midfield for the Wolves, totaling 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points on 39 shots with one game-winner, and three free-position goals.  She also totaled 43 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.  A graduate of Plainedge High School, Murnane has been an LEC Academic Honor Roll as an early education major at WestConn.

Giambald registered 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points on 39 shots with one game-winner, three free-position goals, and 21 ground balls while playing in all 18 games with 16 starts at attacker this spring.  A graduate of East Meadow High School, Giambald has been an LEC Academic Honor Roll as a health and wellness management major at WestConn.  Preston played in 16 games with 13 starts in the midfield with the Wolves, totaling six goals and six assists for 12 points with one game-winning goal.  She had 42 ground balls, a team-high 35 caused turnovers (7th in LEC) and 13 draw controls this spring.  A graduate of Brookfield High School, Preston transferred to WestConn this season from Mercy University.
