MANSFIELD, Conn. — The Western Connecticut State University baseball team fell 12-2 in eight innings to Little East Conference opponent Eastern Connecticut State University on Tuesday. The Wolves dropped to 11-21 overall, while the Warriors improved to 23-12-1.

Josef Rosa () drilled one out of left field to put the visitors up, 1-0, in the top of the second inning. A pair of runs in the bottom of the third by the hosts gave Eastern the 2-1 edge. In the fifth frame,
Anthony Marsala () connected for a bomb out of left field to narrow the gap to 3-2, but the home team padded their lead by nine across the fifth, six and eighth innings.
WestConn returns home for its final home game of the regular season on Wednesday against SUNY New Paltz at 3:30 p.m. The Wolves will also hoor its six seniors prior to fitst pitch.
