BALTIC, Conn. — At the ECSU Spring Invitational, the Western Connecticut State University men's golf team placed third out of six teams with a team score of 311 on Monday at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club. The Wolves were only two strokes behind second-place finisher and host school, Eastern Connecticut State University, while the American International College came in first with a team score of 297.
Brayden Kassel (Washougal, Wash.) shot a team-low 74 to tie for fourth, while
Anthony Nanfito (Middletown, Conn.) was close behind with a 77 in a five-way tie for seventh. First-year
Matthew Hayes (New Milford, Conn.) tied at ninth after he fired a 79.
The Wolves round out their spring season at the Hartford Wampanoag Invitational, hosted by the University of Hartford, on April 27.
