Madison Ratchford (Ridge, N.Y.) ripped seven goals and one assist while junior attack
Isabella Pota (East Meadow, N.Y) canned six scoring strikes and two helpers to lift the Western Connecticut State University women's lax squad to a 20-6 win at UMass Boston in a Little East Conference tilt on Saturday. Graduate student midfielder

The visitors raced out to a 7-2 advantage to conclude first quarter action. Pota netted four of her goals to charge the run. The Wolves would not let up in the second quarter as Ratchford sank three straight before rounding out the run with yet another marker, extending the WestConn lead to 15-4 at halftime.
The visitors moved the ball around the rest of the way. The Beacons netted the lone goal of the third quarter before WestConn rattled off five goals in the fourth to finish off the hosts. Pota wrapped up the scoring with an unassisted tally with under two minutes remaining in regulation.
With the victory, the Wolves improved to 12-3 overall and 7-0 in league play, while the Beacons fell to 6-10 and 4-3. WestConn will look to extend the win streak to seven when they travel to LEC archrival Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
