NEW LONDON, Conn. —
Vienna Brocco (Roslyn, N.Y.) clocked in fifth with a career- best time of 20:49.49 in the 5000 meter on day two for the Western Connecticut State University women's track & field team at the Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College on Saturday.
On day one,
Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) collected a trio of top-ten finishes on Friday. The first-year placed second in the discus with a personal-best 34.96m heave and threw for 10.77 meters in the shot put to earn third. Grey also secured sixth in the hammer with a 39.09-meter throw for a PR, while
Annastacia Seville (Torrington, Conn.) placed ninth with a 36.92-meter throw.
WestConn competes at the Bonnie Edmonson Classic, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University, on April 17.
