PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Rookie Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished third in the weight throw for the Western Connecticut State University women's indoor track & field team at the Little East Conference Championships hosted by Plymouth State University on Saturday.  Grey receives LEC All-Conference Third Team honors for her fine performance, and was also named to the LEC All-Rookie Team for being the top first-year performer in an event at the championship meet.

Grey threw a personal-best 13.60m in the weight throw, which was less than a meter shy of UMass Dartmouth's second-place finisher, Emily Hesketh. Classmate Laziah Quinonez (Manchester, Conn.) secured her spot in the hurdles final with a preliminary time of 10.00. The first-year improved her final time to 9.90, setting a personal record in the hurdles and placed eighth. Rookie Melodie Millner (Hartford, Conn.) also ran a career-best in the 400m with a time of 1:02.22 to finish ninth, just a little over a second behind eighth place.

The Wolves travel to the New England Division III Championships in Boston, Mass. on February 28.
