STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Freshman
Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished 11th in the shot put with a distance of 11.31 meters to highlight the day, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves went to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the National Fastrack Women's Indoor Track and Field Invitational this afternoon. Grey also placed 28th in the weight throw at 11.78 meters, as the Wolves competed against teams from all three NCAA divisions. WestConn will return to the Big Apple for the NYU Invitational at the New York City Armory on Valentine's Day.

Laziah Quinonez (Manchester, Conn.) added a 14th-place finish in the 60-meter high hurdles. Three other Wolves freshman raced among large fields.
Melodie Millner (Hartford, Conn.) posted a time of 1:02.88 in the 400 meters,
Katelyn Zaloski (Danbury, Conn.) finished the 800 meters in 2:38.83, and
Vienna Brocco (Roslyn, N.Y.) recorded a time of 6:13.99 in the mile run. The trio also teamed with sophomore
Marisol Tapia (Danbury, Conn.) for a fifth-place time of 14:43.07 in the distance medley relay.
