PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Rookie
Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished third in the weight throw for the Western Connecticut State University women's indoor track & field team at the Little East Conference Championships hosted by Plymouth State University on Saturday.
Grey threw a personal-best 13.60m in the weight throw, which was less than a meter shy of UMass Dartmouth's second-place finisher, Emily Hesketh. Classmate
Laziah Quinonez (Manchester, Conn.) secured her spot in the hurdles final with a preliminary time of 10.00. The first-year improved her final time to 9.90, setting a personal record in the hurdles and placed eighth. Rookie
Melodie Millner (Hartford, Conn.) also ran a career-best in the 400m with a time of 1:02.22 to finish ninth, just a little over a second behind eighth place.
The Wolves travel to the New England Division III Championships in Boston, Mass. on February 28.
