MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Freshman
Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished seventh in the shot put and ninth in the weight throw, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves continued its second indoor women's track and field season at the Wesleyan University Invitational at Bacon Field House this afternoon. Grey tossed the shot 11.22 meters and threw the weight 12.41 meters. WestConn will head to the Harvard Invitational next on the weekend of January 30 and 31.
WestConn placed three runners among the top eight in the 3,000-meter run, led by freshman
Vienna Brocco (Roslyn, N.Y.) who was sixth with a time of 12:56.84. Wolves sophomore
Marisol Tapia (Danbury, Conn.) and freshman
Madison Roe (Lexington, S.C.) were seventh and eighth respectively in the race. Freshman
Katelyn Zaloski (Danbury, Conn.) added an 11th-place time in the 800 meters, rookie Laziah Qiononez (Manchester, Conn.) place 19th in the 6-meter hurdles, and sophomore
Kayjha Davis (Southbury, Conn.) was 20th in the long jump.
