Phil Parker (Rehoboth, Mass.), the Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey team fell at league foe Babson College, 7-2, on Friday night. With the loss, the Wolves moved to 1-16 overall and 0-10 in Little East Conference play. Babson - ranked No.9 in the country in the latest USCHO poll - improved to 13-2-2 and 8-1.
The hosts jumped out to an early lead with a pair of first period tallies. They widened the gap to 5-0 in the second. Danny Cavanagh rounded out the flurry with a shorthanded marker. He added his second goal of the game on the powerplay in the third to put Babson up, 7-0. The Wolves fought back late and sliced the deficit to 7-2. Sophomore Victor Antoine-Fortier (Sherbrook, Quebec) found Parker who fired a shot into the twine with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.
