OSWEGO, N.Y. - After notching a pair of victories on Day One, the Western Connecticut State University women's volleyball squad racked up another pair of wins on Day Two en route to a 4-0 record at the Oswego Invitational Tournament on Saturday. Senior outside hitter
Sydney Slupatchuk (New Milford, Conn.) tallied a match-high 19 kills to lift the Wolves to a hard fought 3-2 (25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 25-27, 15-11) win over host Oswego in the opener. WestConn then breezed past Utica, 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-23) in the second contest of the day.

Julia Stoliker (Red Hook, N.Y.) smashed 18 kills, while rookie
Hallie Robillard (Middletown, Conn.) chipped in with 14. Senior setter
Maggie Ferguson (Southbury, Conn.) dished out a season-high 56 assists. After exchanging sets, WestConn opened the fifth stanza with a 6-1 spurt and would not look back. Oswego sliced it to 12-10 before Robillard took a feed from Ferguson and ripped a shot to the floor, sealing the match victory.
It was all Wolves in the matchup against Utica. Each set was close throughout but WestConn managed to finish each period off with a spurt to complete the sweep. Robillard earned a team-high eight kills while Ferguson handed out a match-high 25 assists.
With the pair of wins, the Wolves improved to 9-3 overall. They return to action when they host non-league foe Mt. Saint Mary College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
