Giancarlo Garippa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) tied for fifth on the leaderboard with a score of 74, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves opened the 2025-26 season in the Bronco Men's Golf Fall Invitational at Delhi Golf Course this afternoon. Garippa, whose score did not count in the team scoring as he was playing in the tournament as an individual, tied two others just two strokes shy of first place. The Wolves finished sixth of 10 "A" teams in the event, totaling 328 as a squad. SUNY Delhi won the team title at 296.

Ashton Clark-Sanford (Salamanca, N.Y.) tied for 13th overall at 77, while classmates Matt Hayes (New Milford, Conn.) and
Logan Starks (Mechanicville, N.Y.) fired an 83 and junior Tim Larson (New Milford, Conn.) shot an 84. The Wolves will hit the links next on Tuesday when they compete in the Albertus Invitational at New Haven Country Club.
