MANSFIELD, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves suffered a 17-0 loss to the Little East Conference (LEC) rival Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors in baseball action this afternoon at Eastern Stadium.  WestConn falls to 8-24 overall and 1-13 in the LEC, losing for the eighth time in a row.  Eastern Connecticut improves to 24-11 overall and 10-4 in the league.  The Wolves visit Albertus Magnus tomorrow at 2 p.m.

WestConn got two runners on in the first inning thanks to walks by sophomore Jayson Hannah (Staten Island, N.Y) and senior Nick Moeller (Mahopac, N.Y.) but the other three batters in the inning struck out.Wolves sophomore Charles Mulhall (Fairfield, Conn.) and freshman Mitch Landau (Northport, N.Y.) had hits, while rookie LHP Quinn McGuire (Monroe, Conn.) pitched the first three innings and fell to 1-5.
