WestConn's Russack-Baker Collects LEC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -  Western Connecticut State University graduate Jonathan Russack-Baker (Groton, Conn.) was honored as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding play in WestConn wins at LEC rival Eastern Connecticut and against league foe Salem State. WestConn, coached by Ryan Cavanagh (9h Season), is currently 10-6 overall and in first place in the LEC with a 7-0 conference record.  The Wolves will close the regular season at home tonight at 7 p.m. against conference opponent Keene State.

Russack-Baker won 34-of-50 faceoffs (68-percent) and scooping up 29 ground balls in a 2-0 week for the Wolves, who clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's LEC Championship Tournament and at least a share of the LEC regular season title. He won 16-of-27 faceoffs with 14 ground balls in a 20-7 win at Eastern Connecticut before winning 18-of-23 faceoffs and grabbing 15 ground balls in a 29-1 victory over Salem State.
