Madison Ratchford (Ridge, N.Y.) totaled 10 points on six goals and four assists to lead the Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 15-8 win over the visiting Worcester State University Lancers in women's lacrosse action on a rainy afternoon at Westside Stadium. WestConn remains perfect at 4-0 and Worcester State drops to 3-1. The Wolves will visit the Westfield State University Owls next on Friday at 5 p.m.

Mia Negus (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and rookie Kyle Murnane (Bethpage, N.Y.) gave the home team a 1-0 lead with her first career goal 2:39 into the game. Ratchford provided an assist to Murnane on the play. Ratchford scored three of the next seven goals and assisted on a fourth, while sophomores

Vicky Gracy (Bethel, Conn.) scored twice in the third frame and the first goal of the fourth stanza to make the score, 11-3. The Lancers scored four of the next six goals over an eight-minute span to cut their deficit to 13-7 with 6:02 on the clock. Ratchford scored twice more in the final 4:06 and the Wolves defense held Worcester State scoreless until the final minute.
