UNION, N.J. - Sophomore Nickolas Santana (New Haven, Conn.) scored twice to lead the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 3-0 victory over the Kean University Cougars in men's soccer action this evening.  WestConn wins for the sixth time in a row and extends its unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1).  Kean falls to 1-10-2.  Freshman Matthews Rocha (Danbury, Conn.) added a goal and an assist and junior Cristian Boutote (MIlford, Conn.) had the other Wolves' goal.  The Wolves will host Little East Conference (LEC) rival Southern Maine next on Saturday at noon.

WestConn dominated play, outshooting the Cougars, 26-12, and was awarded all of the game's six corner kicks.  Santana scored from Rocha just 3:56 into the game and Rocha scored from fellow rookie Kauan Brandalise (Oxford, Conn.) in the 20th minute to make it a 2-0 game.  Matthew Moya forced WestConn freshman Makai Smith (Bridgeport, Conn.) to make the first of his two saves in the opening half.  Kean goalie Guillermo Miranda kept the score the same heading into intermission with two of his 10 stops in the last 20 minutes of the first half.  Boutote added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute and Smith finished with three saves.
