POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves fell short against the Vassar College Brewers, 4-1, in women's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.  WestConn fall 3-2-1 with its first loss in three games, while the Brewers stayed undefeated at 3-0-1. The Wolves are set to take the field again on Saturday against Salve Regina in Newport, R.I. at 12 p.m.

Three different players scored to vault Vassar to a 3-0 lead the halftime.  Senior forward Susana Imetovski (Seymour, Conn.) scored the lone goal for the Wolves, assisted by junior Hannah Blacher (Allendale, N.J.) early in the second half. WestConn totaled seven shots compared to Vassar's 34.  Imetovski led WestConn with three shots, followed by senior Adriana Alfano (New Milford, Conn.) with two. Three Wolves goalkeepers had seven saves, including six by rookie backstop Ashlyn Flood (Stamford, Conn.). Madison Bougess scored twice for the Brewers.
