Fatmata Barrie (Staten Island, N.Y.) each notched double-doubles to propel the Wolves to the win.
Rencher notched a game-high 16 points, while Barrie hauled down a game-high 15 rebounds. WestConn opened the contest with a blistering 26-7 run to conclude the opening quarter. They would not look back the rest of the way.
After taking a 44-18 lead into the locker room at halftime, WestConn continued to pour it on in the second half. Rookie guard

The hosts held the visitors to just 21 percent shooting from the floor while connecting on 45 percent of their own shots. With the victory, the Wolves improved to 1-2 overall while the Cardinals fell to 0-1. WestConn returns to the hardwood when they host non-league foe Nichols College on Thursday at 6 p.m.
