Box Score PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves suffered a 2-1 setback against the Plymouth State University Panthers in Little East Conference (LEC) women's soccer action this afternoon at Arold Field.  The Wolves fall to 7-5-1 overall and lose their first conference game to drop to 2-1.  Plymouth State improves to 4-6 overall and 1-3.  WestConn has lost two games in a row while outshooting its opponents, 45-17, in those two games.  Senior Kaylee Tackson Thompson, Conn.) scored the WestConn goal.  The Wolves will host New Jersey City next on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Nevaeh Petruzzi scored 6:30 into the contest to give Plymouth State a 1-0 lead and Ella Fraser scored for the Panthers in the 33rd minute to give the home team a 2-0 advantage at the half.  Play was relatively even with WestConn holding a thin 6-5 shooting edge over the first 45 minutes.  Tackson cut the WestConn deficit in half when she scored from classmate Adriana Alfano () in the 55th minute of play.  Alfano made Panther goalie Christa Giansiracusa make a save a few minutes later and sophomore Jasmine Islami (Bethel, Conn.) got off the final WestConn shot-on-goal in the 82nd minute that was also stopped by Giansiracusa.  WestConn outshot Plymouth State, 12-1, in the second half and Giansiracusa made five saves.  Sophomore goalie Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.) had one stop.
