Ciara Roberts (Stratford, Conn.) won the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle races, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves lost, 146-65, against the visiting William Paterson University Pioneers in women's swimming and diving action this afternoon at the O'Neill Center. WestConn falls to 1-10 with its fourth setback in a row heading into the last dual meet on Wednesday at New York Maritime. William Paterson improves to 12-2 with its fifth victory in a row and its second over the Wolves this winter. Sophia Simoes (Watertown, Conn.) was the one competitor and earned scores of 141.70 off the three-meter board and 140.30 off the one-meter board. Rookie Emily Kierman (Watertown, Conn.) was second in the 100-yard IM and the 200-yard breaststroke for the Wolves.
