Kyla Norton (East Hampton, Conn.) scored the game-tying goal in the 85th minute, as the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves tied the Keene State College Owls in the Little East Conference (LEC) women's soccer opener for both teams this afternoon at Butcher Field. WestConn is now 0-3-3 overall while the Owls move to 2-2-2. The Wolves will be back home tomorrow to host Framingham State at 1 p.m. Keene State welcomes Worcester State on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
The first half ended scoreless despite five shots-on-goal by WestConn including two apiece by junior

Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.). The Wolves' defense held the Owls to just one shot-on-goal in the first 45 minutes. Keene's Alexa Skinner started the scoring in the 48th minute with un assisted tally, but WestConn rookie
Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.) stopped another Owls' bid moments later to keep the visitors within one goal. Norton returned the favor unassisted on the final shot of the contest. Regan totaled two saves and Keene State goalkeeper Sonia Moritz had six stops.
