DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves were held without a goal for the first time this season, falling to the visiting Vassar College Brewers, 2-0, in women's soccer action this evening at Westside Complex. WestConn drops to 0-3-2, while Vassar ups its season mark to 4-1 with its third win in a row. The Wolves had early offensive pressure, making Vassar goalie Teresa Zimmer make three saves in the opening stanza, while Regan saved the Brewer's lone shot-on-goal of the entire first half. WestConn junior forward
Suzana Imetovski (Seymour, Conn.) fired a shot to Zimmer's left in the 26th minute that was denied entry into the net by Vassar's Lindsey Nihei to account for the closest chance by either team before halftime. Imetowvski and seniors

Regan made three early saves in the second half, while Imetovski made Zimmer make another stop in the 59th minute, but the Brewers got on the board in the 64th minute on a goal by Gigi Pagnarelli. Croze nearly tied it moments later with a blast off the cross bar, while Regan made two more saves over the next 10 minutes to keep the Wolves within one score. Imetovski put WestConn's last shot on goal in the 77th minute, and Vassar's London Wilkes put the game away with an insurance goal with 2:15 on the clock. Rebecca Rodriguez assisted on both goals and Zimmer finished with five saves for the Brewers.
