RIC, now 20-10 overall and in a three-team battle atop the league at 7-1, pounded out 22 hits, including nine doubles. Cameron Santerre and Lucas McElroy had three and two doubles, respectively for the winners.
The 1-5 hitters for the Anchormen went 17-for-29 with 15 RBI and scored 14 runs on Tuesday.
Connor Davey earned the win from the bump after going five innings. He allowed six runs on nine hits, struck out two and walk a pair. Â
Colin Gauthier recorded his four save of the season after going three strong inning in relief. He did not allow a hit, struck out two and walked one.
Graduate student
Tyler Olmo (Ardsley, N.Y.) suffered the loss and drops to 1-2 in his final campaign. He allowed 10 runs on a dozen hits, struck out one and walked one over the first three innings.
WestConn gets right back to the grind on Wednesday when they travel to Albertus Magnus College for a non-league doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 4 pm in the Elm City.
