DANBURY, Conn. - Senior attacker
Dominique DeMarsico (Danbury, Conn.) netted a game-high four goals and dished out three assists while junior attacker Collen Crotty (Peabody, Mass.) added a hat trick and a trio of helpers to guide the Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team to an 18-6 victory over visiting non-conference foe Worcester State University on Wednesday night at the Westside Athletic Complex.
Senior attacker Shea Jarvis (Auburn, Mass.) led the visitors with three goals and one assist.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 9-2 overall while the Lancers fell to 6-6.
It was all WestConn wire-to-wire as they opened the contest with a four-goal flurry. DeMarsico ignited the outburst with her 31st goal of the season. Shortly thereafter, junior midfielder
Vicky Gracy (Bethel, Conn.) rounded out the run with her team-leading 37th marker of the campaign. The hosts would lead 6-1 heading into the second quarter.
It was a similar story as the winners widened the gap to 13-2 at the break when rookie midfielder
Faye Junge (Centerport, N.Y.) connected with the twine for her ninth tally of the year. WestConn would keep the clock running the for the remainder of the game.

Anna Schipf (Babylon, N.Y.) earned the win and stopped two shots, while junior
Molly Bresnahan (Groton, Conn.) relieved her in the second half and made several highlight reel worthy saves, finishing with four.
Lancers senior goalie Savanna Rosado (Milford, Mass.) played the entire contest and racked up nine saves.
WestConn returns to action on Saturday when they host Little East Conference nemesis Keene State College at 1 p.m.
