Dominique DeMarsico (Danbury, Conn.) notched a goal and assist as four different players scored but the Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team fell at non-conference opponent Trinity College, 19-4, on Monday evening at Sheppard Field.

Savannah Kom (Danbury, Conn.) also pierced the scoring column for the visitors in the loss.
Molly McGuckin earned a game-high four points on three goals and an assist for the Bantams, while Caroline Lampert also added a hat trick.
The hosts jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before DeMarsico netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season. The Bantams widened the gap to 11-1 before Riggio struck for her sixth of the campaign just before halftime. Gracy then buried her seventh of the year to start the third quarter, trimming it to 11-3.
However, the rest of the night belonged to Trinity. They out shot the Wolves, 35-15, and finished with four goals on the player advantage.

Anna Schipf (Babylon, N.Y.) made eight saves over the first three periods.
Molly Bresnahan (Noank, Conn.) made a pair of stops in the final stanza for WestConn.
With the loss, WestConn dropped to 2-1 overall, while the Bantams improved to 3-0. The Wolves return to action when they host non-league foe John Carroll University on Wednesday at 5 p.m. before heading off to Mesa, Arizona for a pair of contests.
