It was all Wolves from start-to-finish. Eastern junior Caroline Stent (Weatogue, Conn.) cut the deficit to 7-2 when she canned her team-leading 49th goal of the year with the extra player advantage.
However, WestConn continued to pile up the points. Foley found Riggio on a fast break off a draw control, widening the gap to 10-2. They would earn running time with a 12-2 lead at halftime.
Senior Brianna Pota (East Meadow, N.Y.), sophomore Colleen Crotty (Peabody, Mass.) and rookie Hayley Romeo (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) would also pierce the scoring column for the hosts in the second half.
