Oldbury-Swift Shatters School Record at Day Two of LEC's

WELLESLEY, Mass. - Rookie men's swimmer Oscar Oldbury-Swift (Bolton, England) shattered the school record in the 200-yard individual medley relay to lead the Western Connecticut State University men's and women's swim teams on Sunday for Day Two of the LEC Championships at the Boston Sports Institute.

He touched the wall to clock in a time of 2:06.94, good for a second place tie with Keene's Andrew Daur. Junior David Lawrence (Newtown, Conn.) would add a second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, 4:55.76.

The men also broke school records in the team 200 freestyle and 400 medley relays.

On the women's side, seniors Hope Johnsky (Bristol, Conn.) and Molly Henry (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) each racked up third place showings in the 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle, respectively.

The squads are back in action for Day Three of the LEC's tomorrow.
