Junior

Wes Nelson (Queens, N.Y.) tallied 11 to go along with a game-high six steals for the visitors.
Meikyle Murray paced the Warriors with 21 points and 11 off the glass, while Max Lee also contributed a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
WestConn led for the majority of the contest. They took a 31-21 lead into the break when Robinson buried a three-pointer off a feed from classmate forward
Jaheim Young (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
The visitors widened the gap to 36-21 early in the second half when Nelson found Turner for a shot from downtown. However, Eastern slowly chipped away at the lead and would eventually knot the count at 53-53 to force the extra session. Lee had a three-point attempt blocked by Robinson but he quickly grabbed the loose ball and was fouled. He then converted a pair of free throw attempts with 11 seconds left in regulation. On the ensuing possession, Turner nailed a three-pointer but the shot was waived off as Eastern - with one foul to give - was able to utilize it before the attempt. The Warriors then stole the inbound pass, sending the game to overtime.
It was all Murray in the final few minutes. He jammed a fast break dunk and connected on a righty floater in the lane, giving Eastern a 65-59 advantage with less than a minute remaining. WestConn could not answer and Eastern escaped with the victory.Â
With the loss, WestConn dropped to 12-11 overall and 6-9 in league play. They return to action for their regular season finale when they host Southern Maine on Saturday at 3 p.m.
