PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Junior Alessia Callhan (Glassboro, N.J.) scored her ninth goal of the season but it wasn't enough as the Western Connecticut State University field hockey team fell at Little East Conference foe Plymouth State University, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Wolves' campaign came to a conclusion at 5-11 overall and 2-9 in league play. The Panthers finished the regular season slate at 10-5 and 8-3, advancing to the LEC Postseason Tournament set to begin on Tuesday.Â
The hosts controlled play at Panthers Field this afternoon. Taylor Healey notched a hat trick to lead the hosts, upping her goals count to 25 on the season.
Plymouth jumped out to a lead less than three minutes in when she connected on her first scoring strike, unassisted. The Panthers would add another pair to head into halftime ahead, 3-0.Â

Madison McColl (Rutland, Mass.) and found the back of the cage, slicing the deficit to 3-1 in the third quarter. However, Healey responded with a pair of goals, sealing the contest at 5-1.

Kayla Hnasko (Raritan, N.J.) was faced with a flurry of shots and finished with seven saves in the loss.
