PROVIDENCE, R.I. -    Western Connecticut State University junior freestyle swimmer David Lawrence (Newtown, Conn.) has been named Little East Conference Male Co-Swimmer of the Week while freshman Billy Brown (Naugatuck Conn.) swept the Male and Male Rookie Diver of the Week honors for the fourth-straight week.

Lawrence put forth a stellar showing in Friday's loss to William Paterson University, winning in succession the 1,000-yard (11:04.17), 100 (50.21) and 500 (5:25.82) freestyle events. 

Brown continued his outstanding campaign, notching the top spot in the one-meter dive with a score of 184.05 before recording 206.55 on the three-meter plank.

WestConn returns to action on Saturday, February 5 when it hosts University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Westfield State University at 12 noon at the O'Neill Center Natatorium.
