Box Score DANBURY, Conn. - Junior forward
Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.) continued her hot start to the season tallying two goals and one assist to lead the Western Connecticut State University women's soccer squad to a 4-1 non-league victory over visiting Ramapo College on Wednesday afternoon at the Westside Athletic Complex. With the win, the hosts improved to 3-0 overall while the Roadrunners dropped to 0-3.
Ramapo broke the ice when Sam Ingannamorte found the back of the net just 3:57 into the contest. However, it was all WestConn from that point as they erupted to notch four goals.Â
Junior midfielder
Skylar Jorge (Trumbull, Conn.) connected on her first score of the season when she took a feed from Croze and knotted the count at 1-1 in the 10th minute of play.
Croze would then give WestConn a 2-1 lead when she buried her fourth goal of the campaign just before halftime.Â
Jorge found senior
Lillian Daniels (Bethel, Conn.) who tickled the twine, widening the gap to 3-1 early in the second stanza. Shortly thereafter, Croze racked up her team-leading fifth goal, unassisted.
Senior and reigning LEC Goalkeeper of the Week
Karly Martin (Bristol, Conn.) made four saves and improved to 3-0 overall for WestConn, who seeks to maintain the win streak when they travel to non-conference opponent Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday at 1 p.m.
