Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Eannarino Nets Two Goals as Men's Soccer Rolls Past Plymouth, 6-0

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Sophomore midfielder Kent Eannarino (Brookfield, Conn.) netted two goals, while classmate forward Franz Muhaj (Bridgeport, Conn.) added one scoring strike and one assist to lead the Western Connecticut State University men's soccer squad to a 6-0 win at Plymouth State University in a Little East Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. With the win, WestConn improved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in league play, while the Panthers dropped to 1-8 and 0-5.

Eannarino got things started when he buried a free kick into the top right corner of the twine less than 15 minutes into the contest.

Shortly thereafter, Muhaj found rookie forward Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) for an easy tap-in, widening the advantage to 2-0.

Moments later, Eannarino tallied his eighth goal of the season, sending WestConn into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

It was the same story in the second half as WestConn added three more to the scoreboard. Muhaj began the flurry with his ninth of the campaign before rookie Jordan Dacosta (Jamaica, N.Y.) and sophomore Matthew Lopes (Falls Village, Conn.) rounded the scoring out for the visitors.

WestConn will seek to extend its win streak to seven games when they LEC opponent UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday at 3 p.m.
