Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. - After the WestConn women's soccer squad was dealt their first loss of the season at Stevens, the men's soccer team also suffered a tough defeat on the road, falling to non-conference foe Trinity College, 1-0, on Wednesday night. With the loss, WestConn dropped to 13-4 overall while the Bantams improved to 3-10.
Quinn Ackman notched his first goal of the season less than 23 minutes into the contest in what would ultimately be the game-winner for the hosts.
Trinity finished the contest with a narrow lead in shots, 15-13, while WestConn held an advantage in corner kicks, 6-4.
It was a tightly contested game. Trinity could have finished ahead by a wider margin, however, they had multiple shots bang off the iron. Each squad's netminder finished with six saves.
WestConn returns to action at Little East Conference nemesis UMass-Boston on Saturday at 2 p.m. before returning home for Senior Night against non-league foe Pratt Institute on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
