Zachary Griffith begins his seventh season as an assistant football coach at Western Connecticut State University in 2024.  He coached the wide receivers in his first season, added passing game coordinator to his list of duties in 2020 and was later named WestConn's offensive coordinator.

Griffith helped the Wolves top the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in scoring offense (45.3 ppg, 14th in nation), total offense (470.0 ypg, 17th in nation), passing offense (286.6 ypg), pass efficiency (184.91 rating, 15th in nation), first downs (23.9 per game, 24th in nation), and third down conversions (54%, 9th in nation) in 2023.  WestConn also ranked ninth nationally with just seven turnovers last fall and Griffith was recognized as the Hansen Ratings Division III Offensive Coordinator of the Year.

Griffith graduated from Alfred University in 2018 where he played wide receiver and quarterback for four years.  Griffith led Alfred to a 12-1 record in his junior season, as the Saxons reached the NCAA Division III Championship Quarterfinals before losing to perennial powerhouse Mount Union.  Griffith is a native of Utica, New York and attended New York Mills High School.
