Steven Rudd was hired as an assistant men's basketball at WestConn in August of 2023. He spent the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant with the St. John’s men’s basketball program. Rudd was a student manager for the Red Storm, and served as as a head manager for the 2020-21 campaign. In addition to leading a team of five student managers, Rudd played a vital role in the team’s equipment and travel operations on road trips while also assisting in the set-up and breakdown of practices. As an undergraduate, Rudd was involved in video operations while also supporting the team’s advanced scouting and game preparation. A native of Hillsborough, N.J., Rudd earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from St. John’s in 2021. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management.
