Ken Reed has been an academic advisor for the WestConn men’s basketball team since 2005. He is a Danbury native and graduate of the university. Reed has been involved in coaching for more than 40 years at the youth, high school, and college levels. He was a varsity baseball assistant at Danbury High School for 30 years after coaching varsity baseball at New Fairfield High School, where he was also a physics teacher. Among his awards are the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year (2002), Danbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame (2019), and Connecticut High School Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year (2022). Ken has made a firm commitment to the student-athletes of WestConn and has been instrumental is helping them achieve their degree.
