Andrew Nevit assumed the duties of Defensive Line Coach at Western Connecticut in the spring of 2018.

Nevit comes to Western by way of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA where he spent the last two seasons coaching multiple positions. He began his career at King's as an assistant offensive line coach in 2016, before working with the running backs/H-backs in the spring of 2017. He then moved to the Defensive Line for the 2017 season where he coached one player to All-MAC 2nd team honors.

Prior to his stint at King’s College Nevit spent the 2015 season as a graduate assistant offensive line/tight ends coach at Division II East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Nevit began his coaching career in 2014 as a varsity assistant coach at Bishop McGann Mercy High School in Riverhead, NY.

Nevit played collegiately at Western Connecticut State and Anna Maria College, competing in 28 career games. He was a two-time ECFC All-Academic Team selection for the Amcats.

A Long Island native, hailing from Lindenhurst, NY, Nevit graduated from Anna Maria in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. He earned his Master of Science degree specializing in Health Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2017.
