Western Connecticut State University

Frank Miele is starting his seventh season as the hitting coach at Western Connecticut State University.

Prior to coming to WestConn, Miele worked in the Mahopac School District for 39 yrs.  He started as a Physical Education Teacher, became a House Principal and finished his career as the school’s Athletic Director.

During this time there, Miele also coached football and baseball.

Miele coached the baseball team for 22 yrs.  His teams won 15 League titles as well as five Sectional Championships.

He was recognized as League Coach of the Year 15 times, Section I Coach of the Year six times as well as Daily News Coach of the Year.

Miele is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education  as well as a Master’s in Counseling.  He also received an Advanced Diploma in Administration from Southern Connecticut State University.

Miele resides In Carmel, NY with his beautiful wife Jean. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
