PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Western Connecticut State University first-year Daniel Zaleta (Danbury, Conn.) was named the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Golf Rookie of the Week after firing a four-over 76 in his collegiate debut, just one stroke behind WestConn's top finisher, who shot a 75.  Zaleta tied for the second-lowest round among the Wolves and was one of six WestConn golfers to shoot below 80 in the season-opening tournament. WestConn travels to Mitchell College in September at the Shennecossett Golf Course in Southeastern Connecticut.
