Erickah Tertulien (Norwalk, Conn.) and sophomore
Eilynn Pierre (Queens Village, N.Y.) posted a 6-4 win at first doubles, but the visiting Bridgewater State University Bears won the other two doubles matches and all six singles in straight sets in a 7-0 loss for the Western Connecticut State University Wolves in Little East Conference (LEC) women's tennis action this afternoon at Westside Courts. WestConn drops to 2-8 overall and 1-4 in the league with its fourth loss in a row, while the Bears are now 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The Wolves will travel to Curry next for a 1 p.m. match on Friday. Tertulien was equally competitive in her match at the top of the singles match against Bridgewater State's Morgan Smith, but fell in two tough sets, 7-5, and, 6-4.
