DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey program added
Dan Condon and
Matt Grogan to the coaching staff for the Wolves' inaugural season in 2025-26. Condon will serve as WestConn's assistant coach, while Grogan will be its goaltending coach.
Condon is a 2018 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, Maine. Following his graduation, he joined the coaching staff of the Twin City Thunder of the USPHL NCDC League, where he worked with current Wolves' Head Coach
Doug Friedman for two years. Before that, he was video coordinator for the University of Maine Black Bears men's ice hockey team. Condon has also scouted extensively in North America and Europe. He brings experience to the team in a variety of areas, including video preparation, scouting, recruiting and coaching.

Grogan is a 2014 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he was a standout goaltender for the Huskies. Before joining UConn, he played junior hockey in the AJHL and NAHL leagues. Â After graduating from UConn, Grogan played four years professionally in the ECHL and SPHL leagues. He has coached at both the junior level (EHL and NAHL) as well as with NCAA Division 1 program at Holy Cross University. Grogan is currently the Founder and Director of Prime Goaltending, which he established in 2018.
