ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves won two of three doubles matches but dropped four of six singles points in a 4-3 setback against the Crown College Polars in women's tennis action this afternoon at Sanlando Park. WestConn falls to 5-12 and will close its spring break trip to Florida with an 11 a.m. match on Thursday, March 20 against the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. Crown improves to 1-8.

Melanie Grasso (New Fairfield, Conn.) and
Diana Rebelo (Naugatuck, Conn.) posted a 6-2 win at first doubles, while senior
Brooke Stillman (Brookfield, Conn.) teamed with freshman
Ava Ciampi (Wolcott, Conn.) for a win at seond doubles by the score to put the Wolves ahead, 1-0. In singles, Grasso and Rebelo each won in straight sets at the top two spots on the ladder, but the Polars did the same at the bottom four positions.
