Caleb Harris (Guilford, Conn.) and junior
Aidan Burke (Wilton, Conn.) each won in singles and doubles to lead the Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 5-2 victory over the Crown College Polars in men's tennis action this afternoon at Sanlando Park. WestConn earns its first win of the season against two losses and will close its spring break trip to Florida with an 11 a.m. match on Thursday, March 20 against the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. Crown drops to 1-8 with its sixth loss in a row.

Jose Zambrano (Danbury, Conn.) in the No. 3 match and a gutsy 7-5 victory by Burke and senior
Kevin Tenesaca (Danbury, Conn.) at the top of the doubles lineup. In singles, Burke was perfect at No. 2 on the ladder, winning 6-0, 6-0 and sophomore
John Araujo (Bethel, Conn.) also won convincingly 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 5 spot. Wolves rookie
Axel Javier (Danbury, Conn.) clinched the victory at sixth singles, battling back after dropping the first set to win, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
Harris won a close match, falling, 7-5, in the opening set but turning the tables to take the second by the same score and cementing the win, 10-5, in the tiebreker. Tenesaca's match at first singles was exciting, as he lost the first set, 7-5, doubled up his opponent, 6-3, in the second set, and fell, 10-7, in the third.
"I a very pleased with our victory today," said WestConn Head Coach Shawn Stillman. "Even with the few losses today, all of the courts came down to the wire. We were motivated to get the win. Congrats to Axel for getting his first college win, he played great."
