PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Western Connecticut State University field hickey seniors Reagan Scheon (Newtown, Conn.) and
Miah Ruiz (New Fairfield, Conn.) were named to the Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference teams on Thursday. Schoen secured All-Conference First Team and Ruiz made All-Conference Second Team, while
Alyssa Montalvo (Holbrook, N.Y.) earned the 12th Player award. The Wolves, coached by
Danielle (Dani) McDonnell (21st season), finished the 2025 campaign with a 7-11 overall record and placed fifth in the conference standings.
Schoen led the LEC in assists (11) and earned eighth in goals (9) and fourth in points (29) and was named to the LEC First Team last season. The forward is second all-time in program history with career goals (33) and points (84). As a psychology major from Newtown High School, she has been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, NFHCA National Academic Squad, LEC Fall All-Academic Team and LEC Academic Honor Roll.
Ruiz earned her first All-Conference accolade after being 16th in the league in assists with four. She also had a goal and an assist in the 4-1 win over conference for UMass Dartmouth on September 27. A graduate from New Fairfield High School and a finance major, she has earned CSC Academic All-District Team, NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and National Academic Squad, LEC Fall All-Academic Team and LEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions.
A Sachem East High School graduate, Montalvo collected her first All-Conference honor and was seventh in the league in game-winning goals (3), and 12th in goals (8) and points (18). She is a justice and law administration major and has earned LEC Fall All-Academic Team and LEC Academic Honor Roll.
