Ernesto Barrosa (Madison, Conn.) scored less than two minutes apart in the final six minutes to give the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves a 3-2 victory over the Rhode Island College Anchormen in Little East Conference (LEC) men's soccer action this afternoon. WestConn, ranked No. 8 in its region, improves to 10-5-3 overall and stays perfect at 6-0 in the LEC. Rhode Island College falls to 2-7-5 overall and 0-3-2 in the league. WestConn will host conference rival Eastern Connecticut next on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
After a scoreless first half that saw WestConn outshoot the Anchormen, 8-5, the Wolves got on the board in the 50th minute on a goal by sophomore forward
Nickolas Santana (New Haven, Conn.), who converted on a pass by sophomore
Juan Gomez Herrera (Brentwood, N.Y.). Rhode Island College's Luizandro Sanches tied the game with a goal in the 66th minute and gave the home team a 2-1 lead just over a minute later with his second marker of the contest.

Kauan Brandalise (Oxford, Conn.) registered assists on Barrosa's game-winner in the 86th minute. Sanches was denied on his bid the to tie the game a second time on the third and final saves of the game by WestConn freshman goalie
