GORHAM, Maine - Sophomore
Shannon Anderson (New Milford, Conn.) had a goal and an assist, as the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves played the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a 2-2 tie in Little East Conference (LEC) women's soccer action this afternoon at Hannaford Field. WestConn moves to 8-5-2 overall and 3-1-1 and the Huskies are now 5-7-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the league. WestConn will host St. Joseph's (L.I.) next on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.) made two early saves before Anderson scored the game's first goal off an assist by senior midfielder
Hannah Blacher (Allendale, N.J.). The Huskies answered in the 23rd minute on a marker by Riley Reitchel and the game remained tied at 1-1 until the break. WestConn sophomore Abby Corcoran (Newington, Conn. and Blacher made Southern Maine goalie Halle Brown make two saves late in the first half and Regan finished the half with six stops.

Morgan Marcuss (Meriden, Conn.) on a go-ahead goal in the 68th minute and Regan made a save on the lone shot-on-goal of the next 16 minutes before Lexi Morin tied it for the Huskies to extend WestConn's winless streak against the Huskies to six games (0-4-2). Regan finished with eight saves and Brown had five for Southern Maine.
