The game scoreless at halftime, as WestConn outshoot St. Joseph, 9-3, over the first 45 minutes and the Wolves took all four of the shots-on-goal before the break. Imetovski came close twice in the first stanza, having one shot from the center of the box saved by Blue Jay goalie Madison Corcoran and smacking a close bid off the right post in the 22nd minute. In the second half, Corcoran stopped a shot from the top of the box by Wolves senior
Adriana Alfano (New Milford, Conn.) in the 32nd minute and Imetovski nailed the post from the right wing while shooting at an open net in transition in the 47th minute.
WestConn broke the scoring drought on a penalty kick with 25 minutes left in the game. Alfano was taken down in the right portion of the box by a Blue Jay defender, earning a PK for the home team, and Imetovski calmly rolled the attempt into the net to Corcoran's left. Kotsaftis connected on her first goal of the season when she turned and shot a blast from over 40 yards away on the left side that found its way into the net for a 2-0 WestConn lead in the 80th minute. St. Joseph got their first shot-on-goal in late by Jenna Zup, but Floor was up to the task and turned away another Blue Jay shot in the final minute. Corcoran finished with five saves for St. Joseph. WestConn outshot the Blue Jays, 15-7, and had the game's two corner kicks.
