Box Score 2 NAPLES, Fla. - The Western Connecticut State University softball team split a pair of games on Thursday at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. It opened day's action with a 12-0, five-inning victory over SUNY Delhi before falling to William Paterson University, 5-1 in the night cap at North Collier Park.
Game One - SUNY Delhi 0, WestConn 12 (5-innings) Highlights:
The Wolves scored in each of the four innings they went to the plate with nine runs coming over the final two frames.
Carly Cordova went 2-for-2, drove in two runs and scored two others to lead the WestConn offense.
Freshman
Grace Parkosewich also drove in a pair of runs in the five-run fourth inning.
Classmate
Isabella Pincince collected two hits, in three times to the dish and scored a run for the winners.
Sophomore
Karly Vito picked up the victory in the center circle after going four innings and allowed five singles. She struck out one and walked one of the Broncos' batters.
Sydney Chenoweth worked a shut out inning in the top of the fifth inning.
She was among five Wolves to drive in a run. Joining her were

Game Two - WestConn 1, William Paterson 5 highlights:
Alexis Resto was the only WestConn player with multiple hits, going 2-for-3.
Benni Tucci,
Isabella Pincince,
Amber Roggendorf and
Sydney Chenoweth each registered a single in the loss to the Pioneers.
Madison Zicchinelli scored the lone run for the Wolves in the top half of the third inning.
Hailey Golembiewski drops to 2-3 on the season after being chased from the circle after three innings. She allowed three runs, two of them earned, on just one hit while striking out three and walking four.
Olivia Bordenaro allowed a pair of runs on four hits and struck out two in the final three innings.
Jaelynn Miller earned the complete-game victory for WPU. She allowed one run on six hits, struck out three and walked one.
Jasmine Vera belted a solo home run for the winners.
